Animal Protection Service Training

aps trainingspcaLA is offering training courses for Humane Societies, Animal Control and Law Enforcement agencies. The courses are geared toward entry-level positions and field officers. The California State Humane Association has approved the courses for Humane Officer credentials. These courses are instructed by highly qualified personnel including veteran field officers, peace officers, veterinarians and attorneys. Supervisors and veteran officers are encouraged to attend to update their training and review new laws.

The hands-on and specialized courses provide every student with the skills needed for their day-to-day duties. Some of the courses include realistic scenarios and role playing. Several different types of animals and species will be presented for students to experience what they may encounter in the field. Some of the classes include necessary information that will carry over into subsequent courses.
